Airtame Go automatically chooses the highest resolution and frame rate offered by the connected display. You don't need to set anything up. Plug Airtame Go into the display's HDMI port, and it picks the best output the display supports.
How Airtame Go chooses a resolution
Airtame Go is built on the Amazon Signage Stick. When you connect it over HDMI, the display reports which resolutions and refresh rates it accepts. This report is called EDID (Extended Display Identification Data). Airtame Go reads it and uses the highest resolution and frame rate that both the display and Airtame Go support.
For example:
- A 4K display that accepts 2160p at 60 Hz gets 2160p at 60 Hz.
- A Full HD display gets 1080p at 60 Hz.
Supported resolutions
Amazon lists these output resolutions for the Signage Stick: 2160p at 24, 25, 30, 50 and 60 Hz, plus 1080p and 720p at 50 and 60 Hz (Amazon Signage support).
If you have AV equipment between Airtame Go and the display, use this table when you set it up. That includes HDMI switchers, extenders and EDID emulators.
