We always recommend using all Airtame Devices with Ethernet to get the best and most stable internet connection. Using Ethernet also has the added benefit of making for the quickest and simplest setup.

Prerequisites
Before Setting up your Airtame device and connecting it to your Airtame Cloud account, you should make sure to have completed these steps first. These steps only have to be done once, no matter if you have to set up one or multiple Airtame devices.
- Create an Airtame Cloud account
- Download and install the Airtame App on your Laptop
Once complete, power up the Airtame Device and make sure to connect it to Ethernet as well as a screen.
Note: You can set up the device in a controlled environment like an IT department office first, and then later move the Airtame device to the final screen.

Note: To ensure the Airtame device is connected to ethernet first before connecting power. This will ensure the device automatically looks for new firmware within the first 5 minutes of booting up.
Updating
Once the Airtame device is powered on and connected to ethernet it will automatically look for firmware updates within a few minutes. We recommend waiting for this process to complete, as the newest firmware will include a better and faster process for setting up the device.
Once the firmware update is complete, you will be met with the following screen:

If more than 5 minutes pass without this screen showing or any indication of firmware being installed, please reboot the device.

Setup the device
At this step, the remaining work is very straightforward:
- On your laptop, make sure you are logged into your Airtame Cloud account
- Go to airtame.com/add
- Enter the 6-character setup code from the Airtame Screen
- Give the Airtame screen a name to make it easy for end you and your colleagues to identify
And that is it! Once complete, a confirmation will show for 10 seconds before the Airtame screen will show the default signage with instructions for how to screen-share to the screen.
