This article guides you through using a legacy cloud token to manage your existing Airtame devices within your Airtame Cloud organization.
When to use this option
Use of the Cloud Token is specifically intended for the following advanced scenarios involving already configured devices:
- Moving a device to another organization: Transferring an Airtame device from one Cloud organization to another.
- Fix device problems to access Airtame Cloud: Re-establishing or refreshing a device's connection to the Cloud when troubleshooting connectivity issues.

This setup method applies to the following hardware models:
- Airtame 2
- Airtame Hub
- Airtame 3
Prerequisites:
- Download and install the Airtame desktop app on your laptop
Part 1: Get the cloud token from Airtame Cloud
To pair a device, you must first generate a unique token from the Airtame Cloud platform. A new, unique token is required for each device.
- Log in to your Airtame Cloud organization.
- Click the Add Airtame button. If you are using groups, select the destination group first.
- Select the device type you are connecting (e.g., Airtame 3, Airtame Hub).
- Choose the Cloud Token option from the list of setup methods.
- In the pop-up window, click Copy token.
- Copy the token and keep it ready for the next step.
Important: If you need to pair another device, you must click the New token icon (or restart the process) to generate a unique token for that specific device.
Part 2: Apply the token to the device
Next, access the device settings using the Airtame app and apply the new cloud token.
- Open the Airtame desktop app.
- Hover over the name of the Airtame device you wish to pair.
- Click the Settings option, which appears below the device name.
- If a password has been set for this device, you must enter it to proceed.
- Locate the Cloud token field in the device settings window.
- Insert the unique token you copied from Airtame Cloud (Part 1) into the field.
- Click the Apply Changes button at the bottom of the window.
How to confirm the pairing
The device is successfully paired when the following two criteria are met shortly after applying changes:
- The device appears as Online in your Airtame Cloud organization.
- The device screen displays the pairing code for connecting to the screen.
