Each Airtame device has its own settings panel, allowing each device to have different configurations. If you can't access the device settings:
Note that these configurations are separate from the App preferences. More information can be found in the article Airtame application.
Access Airtame device settings
Option 1: Airtame App
1. Open the Airtame app. If your device is not listed, try typing its IP address.
2. Hover your mouse on top of the name of the device to access the Settings panel. From here, you can edit the following settings:
General settings
- Change the device name
- Insert the Cloud token and add your device to the Cloud. More information can be found here: Connect your Airtame 2 to the Airtame Cloud
- Overlay: For more information on overlays, please read: Edit overlay guide and text
- Background: Change your current background, add a webpage, or add a Cloud App that will be displayed as a background. More information about setting up an app as background can be found here: General information about Cloud Plus
Advanced settings
- Mirroring support: Here you can enable/disable the supported native streaming protocols: Google Cast, Miracast, and AirPlay.
- Update channel: We recommend that you have your devices on the General Updates channel.
- Discovery protocol
- Resolution: Change the resolution of the Airtame device ensure that the Airtame is using the preferred resolution that is compatible with your display.
- Timezone
- Automatic updates
- Pin connect: With this function enabled, the Airtame device displays a random 4-digit code that the user needs to enter within the app to start a stream.
- Airtame LED: Enable/Disable the LED light on the device
- Password protection: Set a password to access the Airtame device's Settings.
- 2.4 GHz / 5 GHz Access Point: Turn on/off the Airtame's own Access Point (SSID).
- WiFi forwarding: Allow forwarding of traffic on Airtame's internal AP to a connected wireless network
- Proxy
- Download device and app logs: From here you can download the device log files, which can be used when opening a technical ticket with Airtame Support.
3. Once you are done making changes, remember to "Apply Changes". Note: You cannot access the device settings if you are streaming to the device, or if you are using a mobile device, tablet, or Chromebook.
Option 2: Airtame Cloud
1. Open your Airtame Cloud account or create one at airtame.cloud
2. Select a device and go to "Edit settings". From here you can configure the following settings:
General
- Change the device name
- Select/change the timezone
- Enable/Disable the LED light on the device
Mirroring
Here you can enable/disable the supported native streaming protocols: Google Cast, Miracast and AirPlay.
Updates
In this tab, you can enable/disable automatic updates, as well as select which update channel your device is going to use. (If enabled, the device will automatically update after being idle for 15 minutes).
Appearance
Here you can edit the following features:
- Overlay: For information about the full possibilities of the overlay, please check out: Edit overlay guide and text
- Orientation: Choose between Landscape, Portrait left, and Portrait right.
- Resolution: Change the resolution of the Airtame device to ensure that the Airtame is using the preferred resolution that is compatible with your display.
- Background: For more information on how to customize your background please read: Customize your background
Sleep Schedule
In this tab, you can enable/disable the Sleep Schedule of your device. Please note that by default the device has Sleep Schedule turned off. For more information check the article Sleep Schedule
Security
- Password protection: Set a password to access the Airtame device's Settings.

Show content in Screens overviewDisable if you have sensitive data that should not be visible to all users in Airtame Cloud.

AP Password: If the 2.4 GHz / 5GHz Access Point is enabled, with this function you can set a password to connect to Airtame's own Access Point (SSID)
