This guide provides instructions on how to screen share to an Airtame screen using Windows, Mac, or Linux. The process is designed to be user-friendly and efficient.
Getting Started
Sharing a computer screen is consistent across Windows, macOS, and Linux. Follow these steps:
- Connect your device to WiFi
- Download the Airtame App
- Enter the 5-character pairing code, or identify the Airtame screen by name
- Choose to share the entire screen or a specific window
- Optional: Click the speaker icon within the app to share sound to the Airtame screen.
Screen sharing with Audio
To include audio in the screen sharing, select the speaker icon within the app. This action enhances video quality and introduces a 1-second buffer to ensure smooth audio playback. For troubleshooting audio issues, refer to the sound troubleshooting guide.
Single Window Sharing
Airtame allows users to share either the entire screen or a single window. This feature is useful for focusing on specific content.
Screen Sharing Notification
During screen sharing, a notification window appears on the screen. This window serves as a reminder that screen sharing is active and provides controls for managing the sharing. It can be moved, minimized, or disabled through the app settings.
Pin Code Connect
The Pin Code Connect feature enhances security by ensuring only users physically present in the room can connect and screen share. When activated, the Airtame app requests a 4-digit code shown on the Airtame home screen. This code changes with each use and can be enabled via Airtame Cloud.
Automatic Reconnect
In the event of a disconnection, the Airtame app attempts to reconnect the screen sharing automatically for up to 10 seconds. Users can cancel the reconnection attempt by clicking the Stop button if desired.
These features and instructions are designed to facilitate a seamless screen-sharing experience with Airtame.
