One-touch join lets meeting participants join scheduled video calls directly from the meeting room screen with a single tap — no need to open a laptop, find the meeting link, or type in a meeting code.
When a room calendar event includes a video call link, a Join button appears on the Airtame home screen alongside the meeting details. Tap it (or click it) and the call launches on the room's display and conferencing equipment. For this button to show “One-touch join” needs to be enabled under the device’s conferencing settings in Airtame Cloud.
Once inside the meeting the screen will show key on-screen controls for camera, microphone and a leave call button for ending the meeting from the screen.
Using the pairing code on the screen users can easily share to call or transfer the control of the call to their personal device, to manage camera, mic, volume etc.
Requirements
All three of the following must be in place for One-touch join to work:
1. Hybrid license
The Airtame-enabled screen must have an active Hybrid license assigned in Airtame Cloud. Additionally One touch join must be enabled under the Conferencing tab in the device settings.
2. Room calendar connected
A room calendar (Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace) must be connected to the device in Airtame Cloud so that upcoming meetings and their video call links are available on screen.
3. Touch or input device
The screen needs a way for users to interact with the Join button. This can be:
- Virtual Airtame running on a touch-enabled screen — the built-in touch input works.
- Airtame Hub, Airtame 3, or Virtual Airtame (Windows or Android) connected to a touchscreen, usually via USB — touch input is passed through to the Airtame interface.
- Any of the above devices connected to an external input device such as a mouse — click the Join button instead of tapping.
How it works
- A meeting with a video call link is scheduled in the room's calendar.
- The Airtame home screen displays the meeting name, time, and a Join button.
- A participant taps or clicks the Join button on the room display.
- The video call launches on the room's screen and connected conferencing peripherals.
Supported video conferencing platforms
- Microsoft Teams
- Zoom
- Google Meet
- Webex
Troubleshooting
If the Join button does not appear on the home screen, verify the following:
- The device has an active Hybrid license in Airtame Cloud.
- A room calendar is connected and the calendar event contains a supported video call link (Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, or Webex).
- The device or screen supports touch or has an input device (mouse) connected.
- The meeting is upcoming or currently in progress — the Join button only appears around the scheduled time.
