The transfer host controls feature allows for the transfer of call control on an Airtame screen from one device to another. This function supports switching control from a SMART display to a laptop, or from one personal device to another device, ensuring calls remain uninterrupted.
Common Use Cases
- Laptop to Laptop: If the original host leaves the room or the device loses network access, a secondary user can take control to keep the call active.
- SMART Display to Laptop: When a call is initiated via SMART OneLaunch on an interactive display, control can be transferred to a laptop or mobile device. This allows for the management of the microphone and camera from a personal device.
How to use transfer host controls
For the option to appear, a call must already be active on an Airtame device.
- Navigate to airtame.com/go or open the Airtame Mobile app.
- Enter the pairing code, displayed at the bottom of the Airtame screen.
- Select Take control.
Once the transfer is complete, the original host receives a notification that control has been transferred. Only one host can manage the call at a time.
Requirements
- Supported platforms: Control can be taken via the browser and mobile apps.
- Unsupported platforms: The Airtame desktop app does not currently support taking control of an active call. However, calls initiated by the desktop app, can be taken over by a different device using the browser or mobile app.
