Using Presenter View is the most effective way to deliver a professional presentation. Instead of simply mirroring the laptop screen, Presenter View allows the audience to see the slides on the Airtame screen while the presenter views private speaker notes and a timer on the laptop. This setup ensures a smooth delivery without revealing notes or upcoming slides to the audience.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Open airtame.com/go in a browser tab or the Airtame desktop app
- Open the Google Slides presentation in a different window
- In the presentation, click the arrow next to Slideshow, then select Presenter view.
- Do not maximize the presenter view window. The window can be resized if needed.
- Select the presentation window (not presenter view window) Press F11 on the keyboard to enter full-screen mode. This eliminates browser tabs and black bars for a cleaner visual on the Airtame screen.
- Use Command + Tab (Mac) or Alt+ Tab (Windows) to switch to the Airtame browser window
- Connect to the Airtame screen
- Select Share screen
- In the pop-up select Window and select the full screen presentation windows
- Verify the presentation appears correctly on the Airtame screen
- use Command+ Tab or Alt+ Tab to switch back to the Presenter View window on the laptop.
Now the presentation can be controlled from the presenter view, and the presenter has access to all the slide notes, a Q&A section and a preview of the next slide.
Using Extended Desktop with Native Protocols
For a more automated experience, Airtame supports native streaming protocols such as Miracast and AirPlay. These protocols support Extended Desktop mode, which allows the computer to treat the Airtame screen as a second monitor. When using these methods, Google Slides can automatically detect the second screen and place the presentation on the Airtame while keeping the speaker notes on the laptop.
