Airtame in video conferencing setups with room system
These setups, also known as BYOD, refer to the fact that the user runs the conferencing call on their machine and connects the peripherals (microphone, camera, speakers, etc.) to their laptop.
How to setup
-
Install the video conferencing solution/peripherals following their provided manual.
-
Plug the Airtame device into the TV and install the Airtame device following the setup instructions for Airtame 2 / Airtame Hub.
-
Connect your PC to the video peripheral.
-
Start the video conferencing application on your PC (ex. Microsoft Teams / Skype for Business, Zoom, Google Meet).
-
Open your video conferencing application and start screen sharing to the Airtame screen as normal.
Note: We recommend playing audio directly from the laptop or on an external speaker connected to the laptop, to avoid using Airtame with video screen sharing. This is due to the 1-second buffer used for video, which is not ideal for video conferencing.
