It is possible to schedule digital signage content for specific times of day, days of the week, or for a set date range. This is useful for planning ahead and ensuring the right information is displayed at the right time.
When a scheduled playlist is active, it will override the default looped content set for that screen. Once the scheduled time ends, the screen will revert to its default content.
How to set up a scheduled playlist
- Log in to your Airtame Cloud organization.
- Navigate to the Screens tab.
- Select the screen or screens to be configured and click Edit settings.
- Under the Digital Signage section, click Add schedule.
- Give the playlist a descriptive name for easy identification.
- Click Add to select the apps to display. It is possible to add multiple apps, set the duration for each, and change their order via drag-and-drop.
- Configure when the playlist should be active:
- Time: Set the start and end times for the content to display.
- Repeat on days: Check the boxes for specific days of the week for recurring content.
- Start date: Set a future date for the playlist to begin. This can be set up to 90 days in advance and is ideal for events or campaigns.
- End date: Set a date for the playlist to automatically stop running. This is useful for temporary content like holiday greetings or event announcements.
- Click Save to save the Scheduled Paylist.
- Click Apply changes to send the playlist to your Airtame screen(s).
A scheduled playlist is defined to only show on weekdays.
Copying a digital signage configuration
To quickly apply the same digital signage setup to multiple Airtame-equipped screens, it is possible to copy the configuration from another device.
- From the Screens tab, select the device to be configured and click Edit settings.
- In the Digital Signage section, find the Copy from dropdown menu.
- Select or search for the device with the desired configuration. The looped and scheduled playlists from that device will be copied over.
- Click Apply changes.
