Google Slides is a versatile tool for creating presentations, digital signage, and photo slideshows. With Airtame, these presentations can be displayed on screens as looped content or scheduled information. The integration allows for automatic updates to the slides on Airtame screens whenever the presentation is edited in Google Slides, eliminating the need to adjust Airtame settings for content changes. This method also ensures that presentations can remain private and do not need to be published to the web.
This article explains how to use the Google Slides signage app. This should not be confused with screen sharing a Google Slides presentation from a device.

How-to
- Log into the Airtame Cloud organization

- Click the Edit settings button
- Click the Signage menu
- Click the Add button under the Default Playlist section or a scheduled playlist
- Click the Google Slides app
- Log in to the Google account

After a few moments, the selected Google Slides presentation will start playing on the Airtame screen. Changes made to the presentation in Google Slides will be reflected on the screen automatically, though it may take up to 5 minutes for the updates to appear. If the Google Slides app is not the first item in the playlist, the preceding apps will be displayed first. To test the Google Slides app, it can be temporarily moved to be the first app in the playlist.

Requirements
- To display presentations that have been shared, they must be moved from the "Shared with me" section to the "My Drive" section in Google Drive.
- For presentations with embedded videos, the video's permissions must be set to "Anyone with the link can view."
- Slideshows with large memory usage may not load. It is recommended to keep image sizes below 1920x1080 and the total presentation size under 100 MB of RAM usage.
Other notes
- The integration with Google Slides does not alter the sharing settings of the presentation.
- Transitions between slides are not recommended as they may not render correctly due to hardware limitations.
