System Requirements

The Airtame app should be installed on the computers of users who will be using Airtame regularly.

For guests, you can download our portable app for Windows laptops. The Windows Guest App lets people present and does not require installation or administrative rights.

Supported Operating systems:

  • Windows 10 and 11

  • macOS Monterey, Big Sur, and Ventura

  • ChromeOS 97, 98

  • iOS 14, 15, 16

  • Android 10 and 11

  • Last two Ubuntu LTS-es versions (full support for X11, Wayland is experimental)

System Minimum:

  • Dual-core 1.6GHz CPU

  • 2GB Ram

  • 802.11g WiFi

System Recommended:

  • Dual-Core 2.8GHz CPU

  • 4GB RAM

  • 802.11n/ac

Network minimum:

  • 2.4GHz 802.11n (-50dbm)

  • 5GHz 802.11n/ac (-50dbm)

  • MIMO 2x2

Display requirements:

  • HD 720 Display

  • HDMI/VGA/DVI Input

Not Supported:

  • ARM-based PCs and Chromebooks, ex. Surface RT. (M1 Macbooks with an ARM-based system are supported.)

Room Checklist

  • 1080p flat-panel or Projector with an HDMI, VGA*, or DVI*

  • For Airtame 2, make sure that an AC power supply with 2.3A @ 5V or Airtame PoE Adapter (sold separately) is available. See more: Physically install your Airtame 2

Recommendations for Using Airtame

Display:

  • Full-HD 1080p Display

  • HDMI Input

A commercial TV is recommended for professional use, as they have longer warranties and are designed to be in use for extended periods of time, such as when displaying digital signage.

Computer:

  • Windows 10 - OS 10.11

  • CPU: Intel i series or AMD FX/Phenom 2GHz

  • RAM: 4GB

  • WiFi: 802.11 a/n/ac

Network:

  • 5GHz 802.11/n

  • RSSI -30dBm to -50dBm

  • Ping times are stable and below 20ms from the streaming devices

Network checklist

The performance and dependability of Airtame rely on a stable network connection. Proper performance cannot be guaranteed if the following recommendations are not followed:

  • WiFi AP/Router supporting 5GHz 802.11n/ac placed free of obstacles blocking it and Airtame location. 

  • A wired network connection using an Ethernet adapter or PoE adapter. 

If Airtame is installed in locations with a weak WiFi signal strength, connecting directly to the Airtame WiFi network can resolve this issue. Please note that this might cause a potential security breach or block internal service access; contact your IT administrator for advice.
