Virtual Airtame provides a unified way to manage shared screens across an entire Airtame Cloud organization. By using Amazon Signage Sticks alongside other hardware, a display network can be tailored to meet the specific needs of different spaces while remaining under one management platform.
Please note that the Amazon Signage Sticks are currently only for sale in North America.
Flexible Hardware for Different Needs
Airtame serves as a central hub for all shared displays, regardless of the underlying hardware. This allows for a strategic approach to equipping rooms:
- Common Areas and Lobbies: Amazon Signage Sticks offer a cost-effective solution for displays primarily used for digital signage.
- Meeting Rooms and Classrooms: For environments requiring high-resolution 4K screen sharing or video conferencing, rooms can be built using Airtame 3 or other compatible third-party hardware.
- Centralized Control: All devices, whether Amazon-based or Airtame-native, are managed through the same interface in Airtame Cloud.
Signage and Screen Sharing
Using Virtual Airtame on Amazon Signage hardware focuses on reliable digital signage while maintaining collaboration features.
- Signage Content: Displays can show announcements, dashboards, and meeting room schedules.
- Included Sharing: Every license for an Amazon Signage Stick includes unlimited wireless screen sharing, allowing these screens to be used for presentations at any time.
Amazon Remote Management API
The integration with the Amazon Remote Management API provides deeper technical insight and automated controls within Airtame Cloud. This functionality adds several key capabilities:
- Device Identification: Serial Number, IP, and Mac address for Amazon Signage Sticks are visible directly in Airtame Cloud for easier network management.
- Emergency Alerts: Screens will automatically wake from sleep mode when an emergency alert is triggered through the Airtame Cloud organization coming soon.
- Scheduled Power: Support for setting power schedules to automate when screens turn on and off is expected in a future update.
