Introduction
In today's fast-paced business environment, efficient meeting room management is crucial for maintaining productivity and ensuring smooth operations. Airtame Cloud offers a comprehensive solution to display meeting room statuses directly on Airtame screens, making it easier for employees to find available meeting spaces and confirm that they in the right room.
We recommend pairing Airtame with a generic booking account (Service account) instead of a personal one like booking@yourdomain.com or meetings@yourdomain.com. We will use this service account to query the meeting rooms, which can then be selected by users in the room overview app under the Signage section or for the room calendar option under the Appearance settings.
Configuring the Organization in Airtame Cloud
Airtame Cloud allows to authenticate against a Google and/or a Microsoft 365 calendar. To configure your organization in Airtame Cloud and enable meeting room status displays, ensure you have administrator access to configure the settings and follow these steps.
- Log in to your Airtame Cloud organization
- Go in Organization settings
- Click on Calendar connection
-
Select Calendar Service
- Under the Calendar connection tab, choose the calendar service you want to integrate with (Google Calendar or Microsoft 365).
- Follow the prompts to authenticate and connect your calendar service account.
-
Authenticate Service Account:
- For Google Calendar: Use a service account with access to your organization's meeting room resources. Ensure the service account has the necessary permissions to view and manage calendar events.
- For Microsoft 365: Use a service account with the appropriate API permissions to access room mailboxes and calendar events.
