YouTube videos support closed captions (CC) which allows for creator-published subtitles to appear on the video.
At the moment the built-in YouTube app for digital signage does not support closed captions. However, it is possible to enable YouTube videos with closed captions, by using an embed link in the Website app.
Create a valid link with closed captions
To create a valid link simply copy the full link of the YouTube video to use. For example:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AkJaf3wRYMQ
Then simply add the following URL parameter at the end: ?cc_load_policy=1. This will enable the closed captions. for example, the following link would enable the captions:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AkJaf3wRYMQ&cc_load_policy=1
Change the caption language
Optionally you may also add a specific language of captions to show using the cc_lang_pref parameter. For example, the following link would show the video with Danish captions:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AkJaf3wRYMQ&cc_load_policy=1&cc_lang_pref=da
Use the embed link in the YouTube app
Once the URL has been defined, simply insert the link as the URL of a YouTube app.

Upon saving the changes, the video will play on your Airtame screen with closed captions on.
