Emergency alerts allows you to display trigger CAP alerts from a 3rd party software, which will interrupt digital signage and sharing sessions on all or some screens to display a warning.
This feature is meant to announce sudden and urgent alerts like dangerous weather forecast or a fire at the premise, or whenever instant reaction is needed from all people at the premise.
NOTE: This feature requires a subscription to Rise Vision.
Setting up emergency alerts
Before setting up this feature in Airtame Cloud, you will need both a CAP alert system and the Rise Vision account.
CAP alert platform
If your organization is not already using one, have a look at various CAP alert platforms like Singlewire, Rave, CrisisGo, Share911 or PunchAlert. Once an account is created, make sure to get the following settings from your account:
- Web Service URL
- Authentication Name
- Authentication Password
You will need these when setting up the CAP alerts in Rise vision.
Rise Vision Setup
- Once the CAP alert platform is in place, log into your Rise Vision account.
- Click you profile image and select CAP Alerts.
- Enable the Enable CAP Alerts toggle.
- Insert the provider settings from the CAP alert platform.
- Select a Template to show on the screen while an Alert is running. All the text on these templates will automatically adjust based on the type of CAP alert being triggered.
- Optional: specify which content to use in the template.
- Leave the Show on all displays checkbox on, or turn it off to select specific displays to show the alerts on.
- Accept the terms and conditions.
- Click the Save button.

These steps will add the Rise Vision app your Airtame screens. If you are already using Rise Vision on you Airtame screens, you can skip this section. For emergency alerts to work, you simply just need to add the Rise Vision app in a playlist. Even if Rise Vision is not currently running on the screen, it will still check for alerts in the background.

Select Displays.

Select a specific Display to apply to an Airtame screen.

Repeat these steps for each screen you want to use Rise Vision and emergency alerts for.
Testing
We recommend you start by setting up emergency alerts to only appear on a few screens you can see. This allows you to test the connection without causing unwanted panic. Once the setup has been tested, and you can trigger a CAP alert from the CAP alert platform and see it on your Airtame Screen, you can add more screens to the setup.
Note- This feature is not yet available if you are on an active conferencing call using an Airtame Hub. We intended to release that at a later date with a firmware update.
