The moderator tool is available on the Airtame Cloud platform and it is accessible to all Cloud users, whether on Airtame Cloud Lite or Airtame Cloud Plus.

To get started with this feature, please make sure your Airtame devices are running firmware version 3.9.2 or higher.

How to use the Moderator tool

  1. Log into your airtame.cloud account.
  2. Go to the Devices tab.
  3. Choose the Airtame device whose stream you wish to end.
  4. Press the option Stop stream in the top menu bar.

5. You will receive a confirmation that the stream has stopped on this device, while the user who was streaming to this device will also receive a notification in their Airtame application that they have been disconnected.

If you have the Owner, Administrator or Device and content manager role on the Airtame Cloud you can choose multiple Airtame devices and stop their stream.

Please note that if you have the Moderator role, you cannot stop streams in bulk. With this role, you can only choose one Airtame device at a time to stop its stream.

Who can use the Moderator tool

Owner, Administrator, Device and content manager or Moderator role on the Airtame Cloud has the option to use this Moderator tool and stop a stream. You can find more information about Airtame Cloud roles in our article about Managing your account.

With the release of this new tool, we have also developed a new role on the Airtame Cloud called Moderator. This role is limited and can use only the Moderator tool. Users with this role have access to a special view of the Devices tab and cannot reboot the device or enter its Settings.
This role is ideal for users that need to use the Airtame Cloud platform only to monitor and end streams, ex. teachers.
